At Smart School Councils, we believe in recognising the hard work and contributions of students who make a real impact in their school community. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new weekly certificates, designed to celebrate those who excel in our debates and class meetings. These certificates not only acknowledge individual achievements but also encourage a positive, inclusive environment for all students to contribute confidently.

Each week, students can earn one of the following certificates:

• Debater of the Week – Awarded to the student who debates fairly, respectfully, and persuasively, embodying the values of healthy discourse.

• Class Meeting Leader of the Week – Given to the student who demonstrates skill and confidence in leading a Class Meeting, guiding the discussion and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.

• Best Idea of the Week – Awarded to the student with the most creative, insightful, or impactful idea during a class meeting or debate.

These certificates serve as a way to celebrate the hard work, creativity, and leadership of students, reinforcing the importance of active participation and mutual respect in school communities. By recognising these achievements, we hope to motivate students to continue engaging in meaningful discussions and leadership opportunities.
