Goodbye: A Farewell from Kyla

Hi everyone, 

I’ve got some news for all of the amazing teachers we work with and schools that we support - you’re getting a new Membership Manager!

Karen - an amazing former teacher - is stepping into my role and supporting the membership! We’re thrilled to have someone with her experience join the team and think  that she is going to be a wonderful addition to the Smart School Councils team, especially as the organisation is entering a new phase of growth.

I’ve had an amazing time working with you all and our team over the past year. I know it was a difficult year - punctuated by lockdowns and pandemic uncertainty - to keep pupil voice prioritized. But - all of our membership understands the importance of giving young people the space to use their voices , and found a way to build strong systems of pupil voice even in the middle of all the craziness. 

Working as your Membership Manager, and with such an amazing team, has been a highlight of my professional career, and I thank you all for being so kind and for sharing the impact that the Smart School Councils programme has had in your schools. 

As I move on my new opportunity, I wish you all the absolute best with this coming academic year.
